Pass a Progressive Budget for 2010

President Obama’s budget proposal for 2010 was recently released to Congress. The budget is an economic blueprint for America, and provides the opportunity to lay a strong foundation for rebuilding our future from the bottom up.

Specifically, Obama’s budget proposal will create clean energy investments and green jobs under a cap and trade policy, reform the financial aid system to make college affordable and accessible, and provide quality health care now. The House of Representatives and Senate are going to begin working on a final budget resolution in Conference after April Recess.

With so many special interest groups and conservatives of both parties opposed to the progressive provisions in the budget proposal, we need your help to make sure Congress supports bold investments that will make a difference in the lives of this and future generations.
